Beet chips are not only healthy, they are easy to make, and totally snackable

Everybody needs more Baked Beet Chips in their life.

Did you know that just one serving of beets provides about 17% of the recommended daily amount of Folate, a B Vitamin. This makes beets a good choice if you’re a woman planning to conceive. Folate can help prevent certain birth defects.

Beets are also an excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Thiamin, Calcium, Iron, Zinc and Selenium.

We understand that beets are an acquired taste but they are low in fat and packed with nutrients, so we thought we’d try to find a way to encourage your love of beets.

Beet chips are not only healthy, they are easy to make and totally snackable.

When handling beets be sure to avoid staining your hands. The red dye can be difficult to wash off, we recommend wearing disposable kitchen gloves like, Clean Ones Kitchen Essentials Disposable Gloves.


4 Medium Beets, rinsed and scrubbed clean
3 tsb extra virgin olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Additional Seasonings: Garlic, Dried Rosemary and Thyme are all tasty seasoning options as well.


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Peel the beets, completely removing the skin.

Using a knife, mandolin or food processor thinly slice the beets.

Once sliced, toss beet slices with olive oil.

Lay a single layer on a baking sheet and sprinkle with seasonings.

Bake for 15-18 minutes until beets are slightly brown in

Remove from oven and let sit. Chips will become crispier once they cool.
